As I said last week, I’m very excited about my DonnieThompsonFatbells powered by Rogue Fitness. I hinted that I’ve already created a series of Offensive Line specific movements that Thompson Fatbells will be used for and here is the first installment of movements. The beauty of these movements are you can cue many of them as if you were on the field and many are simple yet have great carryover.
These movements should not take the place or replace any classical lifts, but should be implemented as:
•Special exercises (Accessories).
•Enhancement or complement teaching and development of OL fundamentals, such as posture, bracing, or ingraining quality technique/movement efficiency.
•A means to increase mobility and ROM.
•A means to work around injury.
•A means to target imbalances.
The ability to internally and externally rotate without the unnecessary wear and tear, strain or anatomical compromise that dumbbells and kettlebells often leave joints susceptible to makes the Fatbells a game changer. The Thompson Fatbells are designed in a manner that optimally teach and ingrain the exact torque, leverage, and movement patterns needed for Offensive Line play.
